Outside of work, they are both are avid travellers with a love for British and American motorcycles and cars, as well as a passion for speedway racing.

Mike's long association with the apparel industry began in the late 70s when he first learnt to print on fabric. His career kicked off at a local screen printer with a natural progression into purchasing the business he had so much passion for in the mid 90’s.

In 2018, they rebranded the business to Deep CreekTees and left the hustle and bustle of Auckland city life behind, settling in the serene surroundings of Reporoa in the South Waikato region. With Cherie by his side, together they drive their passion forward, one shirt at a time.
